From the time he first picked up a pencil, Bob McElroy has always known that he was destined to be an artist. Spending his childhood drawing cars and bikes from his father’s magazines, he developed a strong connection with both the arts and the world of automotive and tooling.

An introduction from the artist.

The creation and planning involved within this design is a new twist.
I wanted to add the elements of bright color and bold line work.
I went with a stained glass Art Deco peacock inspired from the 1930’s.
Having the look of fragile, stained glass on a tough rugged helmet was the desired effect. As I work on my designs for YesWelder, my intention
is to diversify the art in ways you have never seen before that will reflect
your personality unlike any other.

LYG-Q800D Welding Helmet Just Ok

I purchased the LYG-Q800D welding helmet and found that it provides good protection and view. The only low point with this helmet is the weak headgear which is very disappointing for this quality helmet. The headgear will weaken in short time due to poor materials that won't stay adjusted.
This can be easily fixed by replacing it with a higher quality headgear like Lincoln Electric. After doing the fix this helmet would easily deserve 5 stars.
