YesWelder is proud to collaborate with Atomic Dice Studios for a limited monster collection, exclusively custom-designed YesWelder Darkening Welding Helmet.

From the first time he picked up a pencil, Bob McElroy has always known that he was destined to be an artist. Spending his childhood drawing cars and bikes from his father’s magazines, he developed a strong connection with both the arts and the world of automotive and tooling.

The story for Larry:

“When I began working on this creation I was busy and running on no sleep. My eyes are heavy and burning, and hot fresh coffee keeps me going, however, my addiction to creating and art always outweighs my discomfort. It made me think of a guy I worked with as a welder. Larry burnt wire all day and most of the night. He was always tired and beat but squinted through bloodshot eyes to complete the jobs and lay down perfect nickels. Passion for your job, pride in your work, Love for your talents- that’s what this design means to me. Strength and fortitude to do the best you can no matter the pain and exhaustion that is upon you. So when you flip up the hood and your eyes look like Larry’s, rest in knowing you did your best work!!!” This is why Bob does the design.

Very nice for the price but temperamental in my shop.

These are really nice helmets for the money. And everything about them is shockingly good value. However, I only used my helmet once before asking for a return and refund. The helmet worked great when I fired up my Miller mig. Absolutely excited about it after using it the first time. My previous helmet was a yes welder brand as well which ran perfectly for years until part of the screen stopped darkening. But this one, for whatever reason, no matter how much I played with sensitivity and settings, it seemed to struggle TIG welding and often would undim while I was still in the arc flashing me. The only way to alleviate this was to turn the sensitivity all the way up which totally negated having an auto darkening helmet because it would just be dark due to the shop lighting..
