I purchased the 65DS alongside my DP200. It had been nearly 30 years since I last used a plasma cutter, and the machines I worked with back then were often finicky and difficult to dial in. It’s very rare that I cut or weld anything thicker than 3/8 inch and looked at purchasing the 55 amp model but, Yeswelder has the“combo” unit for a better price that purchasing the welding/plasma cutting helmet and consumables with a lower cutting capacity. I’m glad I made that decision, I’ve never used but a grinder with ceramic cutting wheels so moving into this unit made my tasks soo much easier and quicker. This and my dual pulse DP200 I can pretty much cover anything around my property.
