I have no idea what I'm doing but have been able to weld with this.
This welder will do anything that is on the honey do list from welding a paper thin metal cactus art think that has been lying in the barn for years to welding 3/16 " metal with good penetration... I'm not a professional welder but a retired master field mechanic of 42 years. i wished that I had know about this welder years ago it would have defiantly been another great tool in my service truck!
For the price you can not beat it! I had some 1/8 angle iron the weld after a few adjustments I had no complaints what so ever. Ran beads as smooth as I needed. I'm no professional well a few times a year and this machine did exactly as I needed. I used 120v on 30amp breaker have not tried 220 I'm sure it would do alot better but the 120v capability was the reason I bought it
Nice easy setup. My son is learning how to weld and this seems to make it easier for him.
Great stick for 98 bucks! 7018 and 6013 work the best. Actually impressed! Great for small jobs!
Buena
Excellent arc starting characteristic, running hi-nickel and 6010/7018. Awesome welder for beginners
